

Balsall Common Festival’s search for a way to recognise local music talent at Party in the Park on Saturday 20th September has been partially solved with the introduction of a local talent contest.
The first round of Balsall’s Got The Voice takes place at the Berkswell Royal British Legion on Station Road this Friday evening (8th August), with a few spaces remaining for local talent and open door policy to friends, family and the wider community to come and see the contest.
Talent winner to kick off evening show

5 lucky winners on Friday will go through to the Festival Day finals on outdoor Stage 2, with the overall winner opening up the evening show on the main stage on Festival Day.
The first four qualifiers this Friday will go through courtesy of a panel of judges, with a fifth qualifier going through courtesy of a public vote.
There is still a handful of places open to contestants. Rules are as follows:

Overall winner to play Main Stage at Balsall Common Festival
All five qualifiers from Friday’s event will go through to the finals competition on Stage 2 at the Balsall Common Festival on Saturday 20th September 2014. The Top 3 on the day will be recalled to the stage to compete for the winner’s title on Stage 2, after which the winner will be crowned and invited to open up the evening Party in the Park from the main stage.
