Vulcan bomber to make historic Balsall Common flyover?

The 60th anniversary of the Vulcan bomber could see the historic aeroplane fly very close to Balsall Common tomorrow (Saturday 29th September 2012), when it flies between Coventry and Birmingham International Airports. The potential flyover, estimated to take place somewhere around 3pm, is all part of a multi-legged commemorative 3 hour flight.

The vulcan, which was based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire, will fly to Coventry and Birmingham Airports, as part of an estimated multi-legged 3 hour commemorative flying mission.

The route – still subject to final confirmation at the time of writing and weather conditions on the day – is as follows:

Doncaster to Bitteswell
Coventry Airport
Birmingham Airport
RAF Cosford
Gloucester (Staverton) to Cheltenham
