Tickets for Berkswell Cricket Club’s end of season party are open to anybody wishing to attend tomorrow (Saturday 11th September). The evening fun gets underway when the barbecue is lit at 8pm, with live music kicking off from around 9pm till late. The event at Berkswell’s Meeting House Lane clubhouse marks the final day of the Birmingham League season and subject to a home victory for the first eleven and favourable results elsewhere, could double up as a Birmingham League promotion party.
Tickets will be available from the clubhouse during the day and visitors are welcome to stop and watch the first team in action against Water Orton in their Division 2 encounter. Attractions include the opportunity to see rising England Under 18s and Warwickshire 2nds paceman Tom Milnes, South African professional Wes Hartslief and former Warwickshire ace and club skipper Dominic Ostler. The match itself starts at midday and visitors can see the game for free, tickets for the evening event are £10 per head (adults). Residents are invited to feel free to pop by. Breakfasts are also available from 10 till midday.
