Here they come Again!

 

Birmingham band The Fortunes have been announced as the headline act at The Railway Inn’s Jubilee celebrations on the National Holiday dedicated to the Queen’s Jubilee on Tuesday 5th June 2012.  The 4 piece act enjoyed many hits in the swinging sixties and went on to greater success in the 1970′s, including  United States, where their dual lead singers’ voices can still be heard on Coca Cola adverts.

Curry and Steak nights at the Railway Inn Balsall Common every Wednesday

The Railway Inn on Station Road, Balsall Common is home to a fine selection of mouthwatering steaks and curries every Wednesday evening. All the food is extremely well prepared – from the impressively good 7oz rump steaks to the 16oz T-Bones, which we believe are on the menu in order to save the lives of people who haven’t eaten for several days – through to the range of curries, starters and side orders.

Brickmakers Arms in Balsall Common fizzed up, refreshed and raring to go

The Brickmakers Arms has been quietly undergoing a transformation over the course of the last week and is set to open its’ doors officially with a new look from 7pm this evening. The ‘snug bar’ has remained open whilst the main bar and old pool-room have undergone an intensive refreshment process and landlady Victoria Hancox is looking forward to greeting folk with some hospitality to enjoy the new feel of the place,
“The refurb is nearly finished, we’re just putting on the finishing touches right now.” says Victoria, “We’ll be right and ready to greet folk with some ‘fizz and nibbles’ from 7 O’Clock this evening”
