Paddy Doyle, Balsall Common’s man of steel couldn’t resist a challenge when he successfully reclaimed one of his old push up world records taken from him by Australian arch rival Neil Bryant, with a storming feat of strength on 13th October at Staminas gym in Erdington, Birmingham. Paddy was responding to the Aussie athlete’s new benchmark of 48 press ups in one minute carrying the additional weight of a 60 lb back pack, whih he did in glorious fashion by compiling a stunning 50 repetitions.

Balsall Common’s Iron Man Paddy Doyle completes his best ever year by ending his remarkable calendar year run of world record challenges at the BBC’s Mailbox studios in Birmingham this Sunday (31st July 2011) in front of a string of other world record breakers.
Paddy began his calendar year challenge in 2010 when he set himself the challenge of beating British athlete Paul Woodland’s feat of 29 strength speed fitness and endurance world records in a calendar year. The BBC will be covering Paddy’s efforts on Sunday, with Paddy having already surpassed Paul Woodland’s record.

The irrepressible Paddy Doyle completed 3 more strength and fitness world records last night (Monday 18th July) to take his Ultimate World Record Title Challenge to 46 records as he approaches the end of the final month of his gruelling calendar year challenge.

Balsall Common’s Iron Man Paddy Doyle took his remarkable calendar year sequence of world records to 40 last night (20th June) at Stamina’s gym in Birmingham, with more than a month of the challenge remaining, having already blitzed Paul Woodland’s previous UWRT Challenge record of 29.
Paddy regained one Guinness World Record which was taken off him by Neil Bryant on 24th May in Clarmont Australia (58 push ups in 1 minute under a 40 lb back pack), Australia and set 3 others on the night in an incredible display.

Balsall Common resident Paddy Doyle’s continued pursuit of Paul Woodlands calendar year record of 29 speed, fitness, strength and stamina endurance world records gathered momentum last night (28th March 2011) with a flurry of 4 new world records at Staminas Gym in Erdington, Birmingham. Iron Man Doyle brought his calendar year tally to 26 world records, leaving himself needing 4 more records between now and 31st July 2011 to claim the 30 he needs to set a new Ultimate World Record Title (UWRT) – a feat which barring mishaps – now looks eminently achievable.
