Peppercorn Wholefoods have been trading at The Jubilee community space in Balsall Common for 10 years, unbeknownst to the majority of locals.
The business – which specialises in dried fruit, nuts, seeds, cereals, herbs and spices – is run by Nicky and Sue from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm most Fridays:
“We’re here every Friday, except for the third one every month and we obviously like to support the centre having been trading here for a decade,” explains Peppercorn’s Sue Marsh:
“We found the Jubilee through a Greenfest event we did at St Peter’s Church. The vicar there recommended we take a look at the Jubilee Centre. That was going back 10 years. We booked our slot and we’ve been here ever since.”
When they are not trading at The Jubilee, Peppercorn Wholefoods can be found at Southam Market on Tuesdays and Kenilworth Market every Thursday.
Nicky and Sue are willing to arrange deliveries for Balsall Common residents on request.

Following a management restructuring process at the beginning of the year, refurbishment work on the Jubilee community centre is now complete and details of an Open Event on Saturday 7th October have now been announced.
The new team of Trustees have been busy developing a long-term plan for the centre and now residents have been invited to attend the centre from 1.30 to 4.00pm to see what the new team has been doing.
The Jubilee will be officially ‘re-launched’ at 2.00pm by the Chairs of the two Parish Councils – Councillor Mark Tattum and Councillor Andrew Burrows.
The Jubilee Centre has also been selected as one of the nominated charities for October at Waitrose Kenilworth. The Trustees hope that members of the community will tell family and friends to put their green tokens in the Jubilee box!!
The Jubilee is a designated community space and as part of a renewed effort to provide a secure future for these purposes now enjoys sponsorship from local businesses for the first time. Local sponsors include: Ginger Property – The Estate Agent and Property Consultancy; Acclaimed Mortgage Consultancy and Tuscany Pizza.
