Planners working on bringing the 2nd Balsall Common fete and Party in the Park to life on Saturday 28th September say they need help getting word out throughout the village and surrounding areas. The community fundraising event is scheduled to take place at The Lant, home of cricket and tennis on Meeting House Lane in Balsall Common.

“This is the second event at the same venue but it’s at a different time of year so we need help making sure people are aware” says fete committee member Craig Burgess.

“The last event we did here was for the Queen’s Jubilee in June 2012, so we’re noticing we’re catching lots of people by surprise when explaining what’s planned.”
