Local News neil writes “Joan Armitage writes-“the Balsall Darby and Joan Club which is in dire need of helpers and someone to run the whole thing. It has been going for over 30 years and will close in July if helpers cannot be found. There are 40+ members who meet every Thursday from 2 -4 at the Village Hall. Helpers are there from about 12.30. They don’t meet in August.

They usually play bingo and card games, have tea and biscuits, cake on birthdays etc. Mavis Austin is the current organiser and is retiring at 78!!!! Please contact her on 01676 532482.
