Balsall Common’s Railway Inn on Station Road is planning an Iconic Bond themed night for their New Year’s Eve Party complete with mini-casino experience.


Partygoers can expect another of the Railway’s gargantuan and studiously prepared gourmet buffets, alongside the usual party music.


Dress code: Iconic Bond – Dress to Kill
Parking: Vehicles with ejector seats only
Tickets: Advanced sales £15 from the venue up until Christmas Day, after which tickets will be £20, subject to availability.

Santa’s Christmas tour begins today

The Balsall Common Lions begin their annual charity fundraising tour with Santa and his sleigh in the Burton Green area today. The Lions are hoping to see people of all ages come out and wave to Santa as they raise raise funds for charitable causes. Last year’s tally came out in the region of £6,000 which went towards many local, national and international causes.

Balsall Common Lions Santa’s Route Planner

Every Christmas the Balsall Common Lions tour with Santa past all the homes the village to raise money for charity – last year they raised £6000.  This eight day spectacle commences on Friday 14th December and finishes on Saturday 22nd December. Santa to witness Balsall Common Christmas lights Switch On

Santa Claus is coming to town with his sleigh this Friday (23rd November) to meet the people of Balsall Common and witness the Christmas Lights Switch on in the village centre. He’s going to be hanging around for the big event at 4pm – an event organised by the Balsall Common Lions and Parish Council with help from John Shepherd Shane Collins and Barclays Bank.
