The Midlands Charities Association Christmas card shop comes to the end of its’ tenure at Balsall Common Library this Saturday (11th December). The shop has been busy selling cards since it was officially opened by local comedian Malcom Stent in November and stocks cards from 16 different charities including Birmingham Children’s Hospital and McMillan’s Cancer Support.

Macmillan Cancer Support in Balsall Common are looking for a volunteer who can Calligraphy write and has time to spare to write Christmas Cards to support theirTree of Light Campaign.
This project will be ongoing until Christmas and it will require a few hours per week.

The Macmillan Cancer charity has its headquarters in Balsall Common. They are helping to coordinate a £1.55 Million fund raising campaign for a haematology unit to treat blood cancer patients at Northampton General Hospital, as reported in the Northampton Chronicle and Echo.
