Charity pancakes a girl’s breast friend

Solihull Cancer Charity Breast Friends are set to benefit from a big charity pancake event put on by friends at Balsall Common Village Hall on Tuesday 22nd February 2011. This half-term family event will be open to all and will be raising funds to help provide support for female cancer sufferers in the area.

In addition to the pancake flinging and eating there will be bundles more refreshments and activities such as cakes, hot and cold drinks, books, toys and gift stall.

Balsall Common Charity Christmas card shop open until Saturday

Someone contain that crazy lady it's not Take That it's a card shop. Malcolm Stent does the tricky bit with the scissors


The Midlands Charities Association Christmas card shop comes to the end of its’ tenure at Balsall Common Library this Saturday (11th December). The shop has been busy selling cards since it was officially opened by local comedian Malcom Stent in November and stocks cards from 16 different charities including Birmingham Children’s Hospital and McMillan’s Cancer Support.

Calligraphy Writers – Can you help Macmillan Cancer Support?

Macmillan Cancer Support in Balsall Common are looking for a volunteer who can Calligraphy write and has time to spare to write Christmas Cards to support theirTree of Light Campaign.

This project will be ongoing until Christmas and it will require a few hours per week.
