They have sent round details of a session at Balsall Common Library tomorrow (Monday 12 May) where airport staff will be on hand to answer questions about flight paths. The session will be from 12 noon to 2pm.
The Balsall Common Village Residents Association comes together for its’ regular monthly meeting this evening at 7:30pm in the room to the rear of the village hall on Station Road.
Items on the agenda for this evening’s meeting include local planning applications, reports on HS2, the Birmingham Airport runways extension, Parish Councils and discussion relating to proposed parking restrictions around Gipsy Lane and Gipsy Close. In recognition of the controversial nature of the proposals and objections from parts of the community there will be representation from the Solihull MBC Highways agency and Counillor Dicicco.
The 60th anniversary of the Vulcan bomber could see the historic aeroplane fly very close to Balsall Common tomorrow (Saturday 29th September 2012), when it flies between Coventry and Birmingham International Airports. The potential flyover, estimated to take place somewhere around 3pm, is all part of a multi-legged commemorative 3 hour flight.
Bothered about the Birmingham International Airport traffic over the area, particularly during the summer? What is the current status regarding the runway expansion? You have the opportunity to pose these questions to employees of the airport at Balsall Common library tomorrow (Thursday 7th July) from 5pm till 7pm.
