Anonymous writes “On Sat 1 May, Warwickshire star Dominic Ostler turned out for his first game in Berkswell colours, only to see his first knock cut short by rain.
Berkswell batted first on a damp track not suited to batting. Yet for a brief spell Ostler made batting look a breeze, playing some ominous looking drives. Alas, Dominic was cut short in his prime when the rain moved in to cut short Berkswell’s promising start.
Club captain Patrick Milnes, said,
“It’s a shame, because of all the rain we’ve had this wasn’t even a good batting track but Dom made it look like he was batting on a road.”
If this is a sign of things to come Berkswell are in for an exciting season.
