Untill 1993 my wife and I used to go on holiday to the Eastern Med... and even put a deposite on a house in Cyprus.
However ill health with my wife stopped all plans in going ahead with that and she finished up more or less house bound.

In December 1993 my hunger for foriegn parts got the beter of me and I bought a Motorised Multi-Satellite System.... Something I have never regreted doing, because it means we can go on holiday anywhere in the Med and Middle East...without moving from our home.

I simply love the entertainment from so many countries... a few Favourites are Russia, Turkey, Greece, The Balkans, Dubai, Egypt, Seria, and yes even Iran have some good music channels.... plus more oscure countries like Terkmistan.

Just enjoyed a whole afternoon of traditional Music from the Balkans (SC Music on Eutalsat W3 at 16 degrees east)

What always hits me is...... how Feminin the wemon are. and how Mascilin the men are and how the audience let their hair down...

I find it actualy quit a beuitfull thing to see......!!
Unless you see it for yourself you wouldnt appreciate what I am saying..!
I think we have totaly lost the gender plot in the western world...!!

Anyway its all over to Chucks to see what the heck he is ranting on about!!

Regards
Chuck

Hi Chuckler,

I was sufficiently intrigued to do a quick search to find out what the hell you were going on about.

For anyone whoe doesn't know what a Motorised Multi-satellite system is there's a brief description on the following webpage:

Interesting stuff and I've learned something new! :)

If anyone is interested I have compiled 2 hour DVDs on the following for my familyy & friends.
An evening with Arab TV..!!
An evening with Greek TV...!!
An evening with Turkish TV...!!
An evening with Russian TV...!!
and
An evening with Balkans TV...!!
Or some choice snippits from each of the above on one disk...!!

They consist of good wholesome traditonal music and dancing from these various locations.. a few Belly dancers is as near as you get to anything that might be offensive...!!!!

In my opinion anyone of these disks beets much of the rubbish served up by UK TV...!!!

Anyone seriously interested in any of these are wellcome to a disk or two free of charge...

I would not wish to reveal where I live on these forums but I sysect I could make an arrangement with the post office for them to be collected there...!!

Dispite my nick name I suffer with with SAD (winter depression). However I can strongly recommend any of my disks to lift any low feeling or depression especialy my disk "An evening with Greek TV!!".

Regards
Chuck
