It’s unfortunate that 2006 was not an official Olympic year because the Heart of England School laid claim to having the strongest 5 man rowing team in the world at the time. Unfortunately, despite how awesome they were, 5 man rowing teams were not officially recognised on the international scene at the time, so whilst the squad was unbeatable, in Olympic terms they could only dream of what might have been:
