Berkswell & Balsall Rugby Football Club (BBRFC) was founded in 1981 by Les and Steve Edwards. The club progressed from modest beginnings borrowing space at the Heart of England School, to fielding three regular senior sides, as well as an occasional Veterans side. The senior 1st team squad has been climbing the leagues at a steady pace and began the 2012/13 season in The Midlands West Division One, a particularly good standard of semi-professional rugby. The club also has a thriving youth section and vibrant social scene and has earned a fine reputation not only for the standard of rugby they play, but also for the quality of their social events, which they open up to the wider community.
