Balsall Common’s businesswomen will be incredibly well represented this Thursday 19 October as Nailcote Hall hosts the Ladies First Business Awards.
We’ve got a strong showing from our local business community with a number of residents in the running for an award on the evening:
Emily Mulholland, a successful Fitness Instructor makes the shortlist in two categories – Career From Home Award and the New Business Award. Career Mums’ Sally Dhillon and Nishi Mehta are also in the running for two categories – Business Woman of the Year and the Achieves in Business section.
Jess Lloyd-Riley joins the Career Mums on the shortlist for the Achieves in Business category, Judy Ledger of Baby Lifeline, Carly Southern for her work with Coventry Open Christmas and Amy Jackson co-founder of the Lily Mae Foundation are finalists in the Achieves for Charity award and Emma Carter and Angela Jones are hoping for success in the Excellence in Science & Technology and Career from Home categories respectively.
Jill Bowman who runs a training company and is also a funeral celebrant is a finalist in the Inspirational Women category.
The awards are organised by the Ladies First Network – a membership organisation for both women running their own businesses and for women working within a business across Coventry and Warwickshire. Both Tracey and Julie who run the network are Balsall Common residents.
It’s fantastic to see Balsall Common residents so strongly represented – good luck to all the finalists. We’ll let you know how they get on, look out for tweets on the night from @balsallcom or an update on here following the award ceremony.
Not sure too many of the nominees will make the 7.15am start for the October Balsall Breakfast Club on Friday morning. For anyone that does want to come along, the Club is open to all local businesses and businesses serving the area. You can find out more and sign up for the meeting via their website.
