Solihull Age UK have a number of great fundraising events this Autumn.
First off, a couple of afternoon tea events will host guest speakers to inform and entertain.
The first event will welcome Bill Farnsworth to the new Marco’s Italian restaurant at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport on Friday September 25 from 2:30 – 4pm. Bill has an interesting story to tell about how he gained an appetite for catering, which saw him working at The Savoy, London. The talk also includes the history of The Savoy and its various characters, as well as facts about its neighbour, The Savoy Theatre.
Secondly, Peter Hawthorne will be doing a talk about The Dickin Medal at Hogarths, Four Ashes Road, Solihull on 14 November from 1pm – 3pm. The Dickin medal is the highest award given to animals for bravery in war and Peter will be telling some inspiring stories.
Both Events are priced at £15 each with tickets available only in advance by calling 0121 704 3361 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
