The next crop of up and coming musical talent will take to the stage alongside Paris Georgia in Heat 2 of Balsall’s Got the Voice tonight (Friday 10th July) at the Berkswell & District Royal British Legion. Former Heart of England School pupil Paris has enjoyed a successful year since competing in the same competition last year.
Her ‘Stranger to You’ debut EP shot to number 2 in the iTunes Country Music download charts the day after it was released on 17th April 2015. Paris has been gigging at some top spots like the Jam House in Birmingham and also picked up a headline slot at the Godiva Festival. The country pop singer-songwriter also recently spent time in Nashville, the spiritual home of Country Music, gigging and collaborating with established artists. The highlight of her trip was a guest slot at the iconic Bluebird Cafe, famous for its ‘star-making’ role in the States.
Tonight’s show gets underway at 8:15pm, with a live broadcast on Balsall Common Radio.
Contestants are battling for a 12 month Management Deal with Brum Beat Music Ltd, plus recording studio time with Shabby Road Studios and other top prizes. Organisers are still welcoming applications to join the competition in a further Heat in August, which could be the beginning of a road to a 12 month management deal for one lucky winner.
