Sports mad personal trainer and keen runner Paul Yeoman has been pounding the streets of Balsall Common, an interest which has inspired him to launch Balsall Common’s first running club, with a social emphasis:
“Running a lot around Balsall Common I noticed I wasn’t alone and that quite a few people were keen runners”, says Paul.
“But [I] also noticed that there was no Run Club in the village. Having spoken to friends and family who have joined me on a number of runs, I decided to set up a Social Run Club.”
And Paul is now busy promoting his Run Club launch plans, having identified his base for his new community-friendly club too:
“Since starting working at The Lant Centre in January as a freelance Personal Trainer I realised it would be a perfect venue for the Run Club.”
Paul is currently aiming to launch the new club on Saturday mornings immediately after Easter, with initial joining fees expected at £10, which have been set to cover the cost of Balsall Common Running Club shirts which have already been produced. An additional session fee is expected of £1 per run, although this fee will not apply to existing members of the Lant-based Sports Association or its’ member clubs.
Paul Yeoman is a highly experienced multi-skilled personal trainer who is currently two-thirds of his way through a year-long mile-a-day-run challenge, to raise money for Cancer Research UK, a challenge inspired by, and tribute to his mother, whom was lost to the disease in 2001.
