Summer fete in Temple Balsall to commemorate Armed Forces

Lady Katherine School at Temple Balsall will be combining their 2013 summer fete with Armed Forces Day this Saturday (29th June 2013). This fun-packed family-day incorporates all the usual summer fete attractions whilst incorporating activities for the national day dedicated to armed forces personnel and their families past, present and future.


Plans are to hold this event outdoors although organisers have a contingency plan to move indoors should the weather try to intervene. Visitors can expect to find plenty to do on the day including:


  • barbecue (with vegetarian options available)
  • bouncy castle
  • enterprise fair
  • hampers raffle (each hamper will be worth well over a hundred pounds)
  • face painting
  • crafts table
  • white elephant stall
  • tombola (top prizes)
  • cakes
  • teas
  • Armed Forces Quiz
  • Games
  • Help for Heroes
  • QE Hospital Charity
  • Ex-Tag Association

    War veterans will all be in attendance at this event and all are welcome to come and enjoy this event in the historical surroundings of Temple Balsall.
