Balsall Common’s Paddy Doyle will appear, finally, after some unintentionally misleading press, on ITV1’s Inside Guinness World Records on Tuesday evening (18th December 2012). Paddy was originally scheduled to appear in last week’s show, as confirmed by numerous media outlets, including a full feature in Radio Times magazine, but Paddy was contacted by programme makers at the eleventh hour to say his appearance would not be happening for another seven days.
In the show Paddy explores his career as a record breaking endurance athlete and how his troubled younger years nearly led him down a different path, into constant scrapes and time spent at Her Majesty’s pleasure. His saving grace, his enlightenment, came thanks in part to his discovery of a great love for endurance based discipline, following a series of ‘beastings’ intended as punishments, during his time serving as a paratrooper.
Ever since the mid-1980’s Paddy’s life has been dedicated to a record breaking crusade and among his various records, he can boast 52 current Guinness World Records, the most held by anyone in the UK.
In between world record challenges and looking after his two daughters with his partner Deborah, Paddy gets involved in a vast array of physical activities including mountain trekking. He also offers personal training sessions in a specially constructed gym in his back garden.
Paddy is an expert in a wide range of disciplines and is willing to take on trainees, indoors and out, across a range of activities including martial arts, boxing, advanced circuit training, to name but a few. Email Paddy for information at: email@example.com or visit his website at worldendurancechampion.co.uk
You can see Paddy’s appearance on Inside Guinness World Records on Tuesday 18th December 2012, at 8pm on ITV1.
