Ye refreshed Ye Olde Saracens Head in Balsall Common

A sample from the new Saracens Head Menu

Balsall Common can look forward to a fine-dining option on its’ doorstep with the reopening of Ye Olde Saracen’s Head this Thursday (22nd November). The pub which is under new management is ready to offer up a tremendous experience having secured the services of talented head chef Daniel Topa, who joins the team from Marco Pierre White’s ‘The Cube’, in Birmingham.

New manager, Rob Chmielinski hopes his pub’s new fresh food menu and ambience will impress visitors enough to keep coming back for more:

“Our aim is to offer the best quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. We hope our signature dishes cooked using our unique charcoal oven will give guests something special, to not only tempt their taste buds but also dishes that simply cannot be replicated at home. Our charcoal oven and service style will certainly bring a sense of theatre to the dining experience.”

A relaxed and homely look and feel at Ye new Olde Saracens Head

When it comes to drinks selection no stone has been left unturned in bringing together the perfect blend of choices, as Rob explains:

“Whether you prefer a pint of ale, a glass of wine or a cocktail or two – you’ll find great choice at our bar. With our own ‘Saracen’s Head’ ale, local brews from Warwickshire Brewing Co, as well as a few other regularly changing ales, you’ll be hard pushed to stick to a favourite! Our wine list covers all the usual bases, but showcases only the best wines – easily quaffable with a meal or as an occasion on its own, and bartenders mix the most premium spirits to create Ye Olde Saracen’s Head cocktails – simple classics, done well. “

  1. i have used this pub/rest for 10 years i booked a table on 24th on arriving we were shown to our table given the menu printed in brown in on off white paper the lighting was so bad none of us could read the menu and had to go to where there was a light to read this. we ordered our drinks and meals, my wife ordered fish and chip my sister had chicken these were reasonable, i ordered 5 HOUR ROAST SHOULDER OF LAMB with salad.
The salad was mainly green leaf with a couple of olives and small tomato, the 5 HOUR ROAST LAMB was three small nuggets that had no taste at all.
Not what was on the menu very poor value, in fact i consider this misrepresentation not the value for money i have come to expect from the Marston pub/restraunte i have used for the last 10 years
