Balsall Common landlady Victoria Slim is celebrating after picking up the Cask Marque Award recently, after picking up a faultless score for a second time in succession. Victoria who runs the Brickmakers Arms on Station Road explained how the award was won:
“Just as previously, we had to impress our way through three separate visits from mystery customers who marked us each time on our service, glassware, beer temperature and quality and I’m delighted to say we scored 100%. I’m really proud of our team.”
When we asked Victoria if she could tell a mystery guest when she saw one she replied:
“I like to think I can spot them but I honestly don’t think I was in the bar during any of the visits.”
The Brickmakers Arms is family-friendly, allowing children on the premises until 7pm and also welcomes dogs. There are hot pasties and sausage rolls on sale at the bar and the pub also shows all major sporting events.
