Berkswell & Balsall Common Rugby Club are putting on a charity Ladies Day from midday 29th September 2012 in memory of Club President and stalwart, Mr Clive Horlor, who lost his battle against cancer in June. Clive was a well-known businessman in Balsall Common and dedicated much of his time to helping the club move forward. Clive was also known to put his hand in his pocket to sponsor the 1st team and to underwrite various club functions.
The Club wished to remember Clive as Club secretary Lesley Fahey explains,
“We all knew Clive loved being with the ladies, so to mark our respects the club are holding “Clive’s Ladies Day”. Tickets will cost £20, which include, lunch, afternoon tea and entertainment, prior to the 1st’s kicking off at 3pm against Lichfield.”
For a theme, Ladies are asked to wear hats, although this isn’t compulsory.
If you would like tickets, or further details, please contact Lesley Fahy by email, firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07881 942616
Proceeds from the event will be passed on to the Sarcoma Cancer Charity, the chosen charity of Clive’s wife, Lorraine.
