Santa swings into town for Balsall Common Christmas lights ceremony

The Balsall Common branch of the Lions International charity will be guiding Santa in to land in the village centre next to Barclays Bank on Friday 25th November to switch on this year’s Christmas lights.

Santa will be landing at 3.30pm and will be hanging around doing his “ho ho hoing” until 4pm when he’ll flick the switch to bring on the lights. Visitors will be fed with mince pies and mulled wine courtesy of donations and hospitality provided by Shane Collins (of village centre hairdressing fame), Balsall Parish Council and local Lions.

Organisers are hoping for lots of villagers to come and support the event from 3.30pm. Lights should come on at around 4pm.

Big ups to local business owner Shane Collins for getting into the spirit and pitching in again this year!
