Balsall Common rogue traders
Reports have been received about a gang operating out of Warwickshire, branded “Ringway Traffic Services” which so far appears to have been targeting schools and village halls in order to carry our bogus jobs for hundreds of pounds a time.

Police dogs descend on Balsall Common in numbers

Reconstruction of dogs making their "descent"
Police dogs were witnessed out in force in Balsall Common’s village centre today under the guidance of handlers carrying out spot checks on shoppers as they went about their business. The move, which shocked regular shoppers, included visits to a number of commercial premises including the One-Stop.

Santa announces dates for pre-Christmas Balsall Common tour
Balsall Common Lions have got together with Santa once again for their annual fundraising tour, which will be spread across a wider range of dates this year to reduce the number of house calls after children have gone to bed.
Carstins will be stepping in again to provide traction for the sleigh while Santa’s reindeer remain in Lapland with the elves, who will be supervising training for their big night of strenuous work on Christmas Eve night.

Santa swings into town for Balsall Common Christmas lights ceremony
The Balsall Common branch of the Lions International charity will be guiding Santa in to land in the village centre next to Barclays Bank on Friday 25th November to switch on this year’s Christmas lights.

Obituary: John Crawford
John Crawford, a well liked and respected regular visitor to the Railway Inn, Balsall Common, passed away recently and well wishers are invited to attend a ceremony to celebrate his life this Friday 25th November.
The ceremony is scheduled to be held at Canley Crematorium at 1pm and well wishers are invited to celebrate his life afterwards at the Railway Inn, a place he enjoyed frequenting.
