No Post Office services for Balsall Common as Tesco thrash Sainsburys in race to open

Balsall Common will be without a Post Office temporarily when Mills Newsagents is closed as part of a refurbishment and rebranding exercise by new owners One Stop this week. The Tesco owned convenience store chain will bring down the curtain on the Mills Newsagent brand with a phased closure, starting with the closure of the Post Office.

The Post Office will be out of action from close of Post Office trading at 5.30pm on Wednesday 3rd Auguust. The news and convenience element of the shop will close for refurbishment from end of business at 9pm on Thursday (4th August)

The Post Office and rebranded One Stop operation is scheduled to reopen on Thursday 18th August.

Newspaper deliveries continue to be undertaken but Post Office services won’t be available until the reopening.
