Fun at the beach for kids just a few miles from Balsall Common

It might sound crazy but it’s fun at the beach time this week in Solihull town centre as an entire beach is expected to materialise in Mell Square this Thursday (4th August). Organisers at Solihull Council are inviting parents to skip long car journeys to the sea in favour of a bucket and spade experience at their ‘Solihull by the Sea’ day.

Visitors can expect to find Punch and Judy shows, trampolines and swing chairs, ice cream and a seaside photo booth. Hopefully there’ll be plenty of sunshine.

The event runs at Mell Square from 11.00am until 3.00pm.
