Balsall Common Iron Man Paddy Doyle to complete year long challenge at BBC Mailbox

Balsall Common’s Iron Man Paddy Doyle completes his best ever year by ending his remarkable calendar year run of world record challenges at the BBC’s Mailbox studios in Birmingham this Sunday (31st July 2011) in front of a string of other world record breakers.
Paddy began his calendar year challenge in 2010 when he set himself the challenge of beating British athlete Paul Woodland’s feat of 29 strength speed fitness and endurance world records in a calendar year. The BBC will be covering Paddy’s efforts on Sunday, with Paddy having already surpassed Paul Woodland’s record.

Golf stars head for British Par 3 Championship in Berkswell
The Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship returns to Nailcote Hall in Berkswell this August, with the usual array of big name golfers and celebrities from the world of sport, television and media.
This year’s event – which runs from 9th – 12th August 2011 – has really got the event organisers excited thanks to major course alterations aimed at increasing interest for everybody from competitors and spectators through to the Sky Sports team who are sending a camera team to cover the event.
