Berkswell & Balsall opens up courts for free tennis Open Day

Berkswell & Balsall Common Tennis Club will be holding its annual Open Day this Sunday 15th May – offering FREE tennis to members of the public.

The Club, based at the Lant Community Centre, Meeting House Lane, Balsall Common will open its courts to people of all ages and abilities – so, whether you’re a beginner, a rusty racket or an advanced player – just turn up and try the facilities.

Activities on the day will include Junior Tennis Factory, junior group sessions with one of our coaches, test the speed of your serve, a tennis demonstration and ‘mix-in’ organised play.

Bob Harris, Chairman of B&BC Tennis Club said: “The Open Day is an excellent opportunity for people to come down to the Club to try out the courts and other facilities and to meet some of our playing members and coaching team – without having to commit to annual membership. However, players who do join on 15th May will be offered a 20% discount on membership fees.”

Juniors are invited between 10am and 12pm, the BBQ will be lit at midday and adult sessions will commence at 1.30pm.

For those who would like more gentle exercise, come and try out our new petanque area.
