Village Christmas Card Shop to raise funds for charity

Someone contain that crazy lady it's not Take That it's a card shop. Malcolm Stent does the tricky bit with the scissors

Popular local comedian Malcolm Stent visited Balsall Common Library earlier this week to officially open this year’s Charity Christmas card shop.

The festive greetings cards, which are sold in aid of 16 charities including Birmingham Childrens Hospital and Cancer Research UK as well as some smaller local organisations, are available at the library on the Kenilworth Road priced from just £2.95 for a pack of 20.

Organiser Judith Woodcock said: “We were delighted to welcome Malcolm to undertake this years official opening. As well as performing a ribbon cutting, Malcolm entertained the voluneers with jokes from his forthcoming panto appearance! We look forward to another successful year raising funds for these deserving causes.”

The shop is open Monday to Saturday during normal library opening hours until 11th December. All proceeds go direct to the charities.
