Balsall Parish Council to review Willow Park drug abuse claims

Balsall Parish Council meet again on 26th August at Balsall Common Village Hall to cover public issues such as drug abuse at Willow Park and noise coming from the basketball courts.  This local elected authority meeting is open to both press and public.  A section of the meeting will be dedicated to public questions.

THAT AN EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE ABOVE

          detailing operating hours for the basket ball court
        2. Problem of the noise generated
          by use of the basket ball court and suggestions on how to reduce this
      3. Litter at Willow Park
        1. Resolution to give the Clerk
          delegated authority to order additional refuse bins for Willow Park
          with the resultant increase in costs for refuse bin emptying.
        2. Resolution to give the Clerk
          delegated authority to increase the number of refuse collections and
          litter pickings at the recreations grounds if necessary.
        3. Resolution to give the Play
          Areas Committee the delegated authority to employ or contract a person
          or company to act as a park warden.
      4. Completion of upgrade to
        Willow Park

        1. Resolution to purchase a
          new seesaw and complete the installation of the green safety matting
        2. Zip wire – discussion
          to delay plans for purchasing this item until the new financial year
          or certainly until after the Lions’ Bonfire event 2010.
      5. Lions’ Bonfire Event
        1. Letter from the Lions to
          hold their bonfire event 2010 – fireworks have already been purchased
        2. Decision on whether bonfire
          events can be held at Willow Park in 2011 bearing in mind the planned
          zip wire
      6. Request and election of
        more councillors to join the Play Areas Committee.
