BalsallCom.Com congratulates local volunteers responsible for delivering the first edition of The Bugle magazine to 3000 homes.
The Bugle – an independent publication aimed at providing information about local groups and services to residents – came into existence as a result of feedback from the recent Village Plan survey conducted throughout homes in Balsall Common and surrounding areas.

Like it’s not tough enough to walk through a few boggy fields with a 40lb backpack, Balsall Common’s Paddy Doyle took the theme to a dizzying new level by taking on two mammoth back-pack endurance challenges in one day.
On Thursday (13 November) Paddy firstly broke a 10km 40lb backpack challenge record held by Rob Simpson from Leeds, before smashing a recognised Henley-in-Arden marathon record by more than 8 minutes.

Solihull’s NHS Care Trust will be applying for planning permission for a new health centre in Balsall Common on Council owned land at Riddings Hill.
If successful this would mean the relocation of the existing general practice from Meeting House Lane to a much larger site with enhanced treatments and services.
