Sunday 3rd October
BBRFC 3 v Sutton Coldfield 25

Before we knew two strong players were unable to play we knew this was going to be a tough game but the team went out with the right attitude and in the first twenty minutes it looked like it was anybody’s game!

A penalty was awarded to Sutton in the first 5 minutes resulting in the 3 points on the board scored by T Curry. In the 14th minutes it was B’s turn to be given a penalty, Steve Allen scored B’s three points and the first points against Sutton this season. The first try came in the 18th minute by Sutton’s J Walker. B’s played defensive all the way as Sutton dominated the attack. A second try from Sutton came in the 34th minute by R Cunningham.

With the score being 3 ? 13 at half time with a team talk B’s still felt B?s were in with a chance. Sutton again provided some excellent attack and B’s defended strongly but Sutton still managed to get through and a try by J Taylor came in the 50th minute. B’s just never managed to stay in to the Sutton half and a further try came in the 60th minute by Tom Curry who also converted it. B’s in the last 10 minutes improved they play but the final score was B’s 3 – Sutton 25.
